Let me attempt to write something useful to writer-to-be. I must state that I am not the right person as I am not a professional like the majority, who has extensive training on writing.
English to me has always been a second language and writing is something I hate since young. Then you must be wondering why the heck I am writing so many books. I will tell you the truth, I am crazy. My mind is good at day-dreaming (and yes I am proud of it) and so I decided to put it to good use. The other reason is I am a creator, I enjoy creating something so to me a book is a 'something' I enjoy creating.
Now that you know my background you may want to stop here, if not keep on reading. I had read a post - 21 Harsh But Eye-Opening Writing Tips From Great Authors by Cody Delistraty and I must say I agree to all that I had read.
The one I like is 7. Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout with some painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand. — George Orwell
How true is that, at least for me. Wahaha.
Let me add one of my own even though I am not as famous as any of them, but in my mind I am my favorite author. Here goes:
Write and keep writing, not because people will like it, but because someone may get a kick out of thrashing your book. - Magus Tor
I know this is not very useful but I tried, hopefully next post will be better.
