My Ladybird Story

"An inspiring, empowering chronicle of self-discovery and fearless pride sure to entertain and inform both cisgender and transgender readers. " https://www.selfpublishingreview.com/2016/01/review-my-ladybird-story-by-magus-tor/
"Given this really seems entirely different and off-key compared to some of the most polished and bestselling works under the name I hope to see something back on track for the next book. It does have its moments nonetheless, and the intention of the material and its positive outlook for LGBT issues should be applauded." https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/my-ladybird-story
"I enjoyed reading this book very much. It had a nice flow, and shows that you don't need action and violence to make a story stand out." |
Moonful of Love
https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/magus-tor/moonful-love/
"A haunting and poignant meditation on forgiveness, faith, and love." https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/moonful-of-love
There is something quite rare and welcoming today about a story that is told unhurriedly; a story told at the quiet and simple pace of the man and a girl walking in the contentment of their own company. This book is a refreshing treat from a fast paced world and the many books that follow suit. It is, instead, a well woven journey of a realistic, well developed character’s quest to find salvation, whose thoughts and questions will mirror those of any reader. https://forums.onlinebookclub.org/viewtopic.php?t=48156
"Moonful of Love is a well-written novel. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The book is written in the third person. This is a beautiful story of love and life told by Magnus Tor. The characters of the book are very strong and well built. They provide a depth to the story. I liked the character of Kellion. His love for Angelius melts my heart. I liked how he confesses his mistakes and the lessons he tells to the young girl. It is a very heartwarming love story. Kellion is a character of resistance and dependence, who might not commonly draw compassion, into a character which the peruser can't give up and is pulling for. I also liked how the girl listened patiently to his story and never left him. The plot of the book is very interesting. " |
Want (Numbered #1)
https://www.selfpublishingreview.com/2015/01/review-want-by-magus-tor/
"He lays a solid foundation for the series that is intriguing and thought-provoking. While the opening pages are a bit slow, the final pages are action-packed. The cliffhanger ending will make many readers want more." https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/want
"Numbered Book 1 ends drastically, with so many plot twists that you are going to have to re-read it several times to ensure that you know what really happened. The ending was pretty shocking and was a definite cliff-hanger. If you are looking for something to help you fill the void where Hunger Games left you, try this one!" https://mauldinfamily1.wordpress.com/2016/01/11/want-book-review/
"The story is full of action, twists, and turns. The characters are strong while dealing with betrayal and resistance. The world building is fantastic. All in all, the story pulls the reader right into the story from the beginning to the cliffhanger ending that leaves the reader wanting more." |
D-Nine: Protectors of the Crown
https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/d-nine
"D-Nine: Protectors of the Crown by Magus Tor is a great story fusing the life of Dr. James Khoo and Princess Sarabeth of a far-away realm. Living as both people, Sarabeth/James struggles to understand what is happening, only to find out there has to be a choice – only one of them can survive." https://www.selfpublishingreview.com/2015/10/review-d-nine-protectors-of-the-crown-by-magus-tor/
"In this unusual fantasy offering, Magus Tor spins his magic by taking the fantasy genre a new and pertinent step further with this transgender-charged quest adventure." |
Love Triangle
https://www.selfpublishingreview.com/2014/11/review-love-triangle-by-magus-tor-and-carrie-lynn-weniger/
"The ease of their writing, the transformation of the main character, and the surprising twist at the end save this story and make it a worthwhile and enjoyable read. This is the type of story that will make readers think about the meaning of love and how they want to be loved." https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/love-triangle
"Excellent book, great characters and well written. I would be interested in reading more stories from Tor and Weniger if there are any." |
Life Bank
https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/life-bank
"The message of this story reminded me a lot of Stephen King's Needful Things. Part of that is that the 'devil’ doesn't make you do anything. You get choices; the choices are still up to you. " |
